Finding Focus is a blog dedicated to exploration and growth in photography as a form of self expression.
Beyond it's literal meaning, finding focus means finding what drives you to open the shutter and capture what you see before you. (Or in some cases above, behind and below)
Assignments are on a bi-weekly basis with a "winner" being determined by popular vote. The winner then determines the theme for the next assignment, and everything starts up once again.
There are no format restrictions, or required/banned tools. Toy cameras, point and shoots, DSLRS, cell phones, Photoshop, Paintshop Pro (really?) are all game. If something is art, it's art in spite of the medium, and not because of it. Photoshop does not render a photograph meaningless, and shooting a toaster with a Holga does not instantly give it meaning.
